broke a rule this afternoon and did some grocery shopping on a Sunday, which required me to drive on my scooter from Khao Takiap to the traffic cirlce at the Khao Hin Lek Fai road. Bumper to bumper from the flyover. I was taking every short cut I know and even they were jammed. Bangkok SUVs on narrow road behind Bluport next to canal, almost grid lock on railroad from 88 to the traffic cirlcle. took the back way out past the old korat kithen location out to soi 112. anything to avoid the main drags.

complete and total traffic grid lock in Khao Takiap right now. And I mean no cars moving at all in both directions.
impossible to get to your condo, home whatever. be this way for two hours now.

i may have to wait for traffic to die down just to get to HH. Not sure how this is any different than Bangkok. I am thinking at least 45 minutes to get to soi 88. impossible on big bike to work through this stop and wait.

Friday was the Chulalongkorn Day holiday and the start of a 3 day weekend. Traffic is snarled everywhere with people trying to get away. Pete

Yes the wife and her friends chose this weekend to get together, of course I said, "sure no problem, I'll drive".

Stayed last night in Cha Am and went out on beach street around 8pm. Total gridlock, bikes pushing past, vendors hopping..... Back to Bang Saphan later today after her meetup thank god!!
