The top team from each of the eight groups qualify. The two best scoring runners also qualify. Those two are England and the winners of Czech Republic or Holland and one other which will be Sweden or Croatia. If Holland beat the Czechs, England will have more points than the Czechs and therefore get automatic qualification by being placed at least number two of the three.
Anyway the Dutch are two up at half time so it's looking promising for the underachieving English at the moment.
Not looking good at the moment for the other European underachievers, Spain though.
