Regardless of being a Yank I really enjoy a good English breakfast, much moreso than what is sold as an "American breakfast" up here...small and tasteless. As someone said on here, dozens of good places in Pattaya and sausages are made locally by a few Brit run butcher shops. The normal English breakfast is about 90 Baht and what many describe as a "belly buster" is close to 200 Baht. The latter being double of everything and then some. The only thing is, I can't eat one everyday unless it is my only meal of the day! Pete
English breakfast.
I find it surprising that no one has mentioned Coconuts. Not the bar along from Jonnie Walkers. I think it is Coconuts 3? Jim the Canadian guy runs it.
Those breakfasts are great value! Maybe they are more American than English? Please infrom this ignorant Kiwi.

I agree with the comments of prcscct about the breakfasts in Hua Hin.
Compared with Pattaya what we generally get here is rubbish, the pig and whistle in soi 7 Pattaya do great meals and the belly buster will last you all day.
I just cant stand the sausages we get here in hua hin, i was told by a well known producer that the london sausage they make is the same as Walls sausages in England. No way.
This is why i buy ours in Pattaya in bulk and they taste a lot better.
It will be really good if maybe one of the new bars address this problem and then us ex pats can get a decent breakfast, so come on you bar owners wake up and give us the real deal like Pattaya.
Will be watching the new Irish bar with interest on this subject, but for now at least i can get good brown bread salad sandwiches at Sub Days, tried one yesterday for the first time and was well impressed.
And i promise i am not intending to plug either just an observation.
Mike.

The best breakfast I've had so far in Hua Hin was in AllInHuaHin. The Large breakfast there is great! You get two eggs, 6 cold cuts, strawberry and orange marmelade, cheese, croisant, baguette, white bread and brown bread, coffe and juice. All for 120 Baht (good value). I do miss bacon to the eggs though, why is it so hard to find in Hua Hin?
Stayed at the Hua Hin Suites (opposite the main enterance of the Sofitel), part of the price of the room included an american breakfast at a place called Papa John's.
We got Tea/Coffee. Fruit Juice, Large plate of fruit, Toast, Eggs (how you want them) and Bacon.
The normal price of that was about 120baht.
The food was always very good and also the service as was the accomodation.

Breakfast in Hua Hin
Anyone had breaky closer to the Marriot. I don't fancy paying their prices.
english breakfast
good news for all you real food lovers, bangkok's finest bacon ,english style sausages , black pudd etc. are now available in the supermarket on the main road in hua hin. as served in all the irish bars in bkk, most of the finest english pubs, and even 5 star hotels, but there' in disguise , [edited by Admin] .
the prices are much more realistic than other other available products and (having tried what has been on offer in hua hin and elseware) the quality is far superior. it was surely only a matter of time before someone in hua hin broke the monopoly and came up with something that a real butcher could really be proud of.
don't know if they are available in the bars and restaurants yet but i'm sure they soon will be, in the meantime get down to the supermarket and
try them, you'll love them, and the price.

Walk out the gate and to your left (away from town) take the first soi down towards the beach by the little minimart, there are many guesthuses with restaurants there whio serve decent breakfasts. American brekfast at Thipurai Beach Guest House is 70 or 80 Baht I think. (although they get it from the restaurant next door, don't remeber the name). It's 1 minute from the gate of Marriott.Anyone had breaky closer to the Marriot. I don't fancy paying their prices.
