New Cafe Discovered!

Post by Siani »

This afternoon I went to a really great coffee shop/ bar. Situated on the road to Khao Takiap. It is really fabulous place to go. It is American run by a really nice chap from Philadelphia. Terrific coffee, burgers (69 baht) homemade Brownies, ice cream to die for!! Free internet, chill out lounge upstairs...really worth a visit. Tastefully decorated with spacious seating inside and out.

It is called:
Best beans coffee, Nongkae Takiap road, Nong Kae Hua Hin. Just a few mins from the flyover going down to Khao Takiap on the left, very end shop.

Enjoy! I did...he gave me a free sample of his home made Brownies...terrific!

Totally agree Siani. Ive live just round the corner and consider it my local coffeeshop. It has that american coffeeshop feeling about it. You can play free Playstation and Wii2 in the lounge bar upstairs. You can also take your laptop and enjoy your coffee/meal while surfing the net in nice aircon. He told me hes planning on opening the bar in the evenings..

^^ It surprises me (sort of) how many businesses in the area can be found on the Internet, but haven't made themselves known on... erm... local forums. Is it that local businesses are missing out on an advertising opportunity, or that local forums tend to overestimate their influence?

It surprises me as well, when advertising on this site can be as cheap as 8 Baht per day. This forum is not over-estimating its influence. The readership stats can not be manipulated, and they speak for themselves.

BB I did suggest to him to advertise on the forum :)

It is really nice though, like Starbucks only better. Fresh baked pastry. Excellent Western and Thai food. Wine Bar and Beer garden. Free Wifi, games, printing, computer rentals and more, a lot of effort has gone into it all.

Siani, how much is a double shot large skinny cappo with vanilla...just kidding :) But seriously, do you know what the cost is for basic flat white? I know it's probably not much but I ask just ask out of interest.

I don't know the cost of coffee..I did not pay, my husband did. I think it is average price, not over the top, as the burgers (real ones) are only 69 baht. There is a price list on the wall. They have special bottles of sweetner, vanilla...all is there, if it is not far from you go and see. He is a really nice chap, my son said the other day he had a free beer promotion!! When I was there there were a group of young ladies having huge orange drinks, about a litre, full of crushed ice. When we got there we ordered our drinks and the owner said "would you like to taste our Brownies, on the house"...a nice gesture.

I do have the phone number 087-933-5000 you could ask the price.

If you are going down there check on the evening opening times as he does not open every evening dring the quiet times. I think you are safe to go in the day. :)

Had to give BBC a try after reading the comments. Boy am I pleased I did! Beer garden out front isthe business, nice bar area to sit at and plenty of tables and chairs (nice quality wood ones!) also spotted a BBQ out there too! :thumb:
Bar area is open and beautifully done, great decor and just quality appliances everywhere. Took a look upstairs and I thought it was the owners (sorry terrible with names!) living room! Great place for a quiet meeting or skive from work! The owner is a cool guy and I hope he gets the customers his place deserves. Anyway the bottom line is that you need to try BBC, its a great addition to HH and hopefully a taste of the future. Only problem today was that I didn't have time for Brownies and Ice cream!

 Just a thought but if those that visit a place on the back of reading comments on here actually mention this to the owners they maybe inclined to become a sponsor, or at least take an advertorial that costs less than the price of a small Singha every week!
