I run from a windows PC and I only have 12 channels now. Several news channels plus a couple of others have disappeared.
Regarding communication, they could have explained the current situation in 'announcements' on their website. Would save a lot of speculation.

Mine is working on the laptop ok and there were still the full range of new channels but I'm sure they'll be gone before the day is out. Agree with others that a message/apology from the operator would not have gone amiss but let's hope it back to business as usual

So do we know what has actually happened? Rumours by the scaremongers on Social Media are rife. Blaming it on the fun police - hence the loss of some channels, and 365 Sport is just dead. I'm starting to believe the scaremongers.

I just logged in this morning and Thai Expat TV is only showing 13 channels instead of the usual 40 or so channels. Their phone is switched off. Hopefully they haven't done a runner. Their office is in Sukhumvit Suites in Sukhumvit Soi 13 but unsure whether it's just a brass plate registered office or a properly manned office. I might go have a look later if they haven't fixed things or made any announcements clarifying this debacle.

Possibly this recent European Court of Justice ruling will have an effect on streamers such ThaiExpatTV. Depends on by what mechanism they pick up the streams I suppose, and whether the country in which they pick up the streams is affected by the ruling.

365 Sport connection

Post by PET »

I have used this source for a long time but now the site says it cannot. access the server.
I do not know what is wrong but when I try to get into their web site up comes -
' The requested URL was not found on this server.
Additionally a 404Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an Error Document to handle this request"
Of course I cannot open the 365Sport site either
Can someone please put this into English for a non IT expert?

Thai Expat TV, Expat Premium TV & 365 Sports all stopped working yesterday afternoon. What's going on? Why don't they put information on theit websites? I assume all 3 companies are connected to each other. Have they gone BUST or don't they know how to run a business????

Yes, the Digital Economy Act came into force in the UK last week that means anyone putting copyrighted product onto the internet without permission could face up to 10 years in jail. Also, I see that BBC iplayer is going to need a password soon.

To me it's all gobbledygook to confuse us, and make us believe they know what is wrong.

On the rare occasion this forum has gone down, we receive all sorts of similar messages.

Now, although they deny it, Expat TV and 365 Sport work on the same servers, and I'm convinced, are the same company. Surprise, surprise, both services have experienced similar problems over the last couple of days. A skeleton service was restored for Expat this morning. I would guess they are running a limited service to give customers something while the full repair is carried out.

However, you could believe the stories going around social media the the companies have gone bust. My take on that, is why do we have a limited service then?

The other scaremongering is that the fun police have been at work, and many 'premium' channels have been axed. I could find that believable in respect of the limited Expat TV service, and there are no sports channels. I guess we'll find out in the next couple of days.

Unfortunately, both companies put all of their eggs in one basket. If the server goes down, they lose e-mail as well.

Yes, it's kind of like when the electricity goes off and your freezer food starts to defrost. Being left in the lurch so to speak is not a comfortable position to be in. I don't have either service but it appears people have trusted it/them so much they've decided no backup is necessary. Hopefully faith will be restored this weekend and everyone happy again. :D The issue is being discussed everywhere you look on the local internet. Pete

And there was me thinking it was all legal! I paid for 12 months in March too.
After all the rogue satellite dishes we had before 2015 this was too good to be true I guess.
