Network cable/socket installer?
Re: Network cable/socket installer?
I can't recommend anyone but a good electrician might be a good place to start. I opted to do the work myself and am very satisfied with the results. I installed my cables to support a CCTV security camera system as well as network connected computers and printers. I purchased a box of Cat 5 cable, the crimping tool, RJ-45 plastic end connectors and most importantly, the cable test device from a shop on the 3rd floor of the Shopping Mall. Or you can easily order it all online from aliexpress. The RJ-45 mod taps and wall faceplates can be purchased at Thai Watsadu. There are numerous YouTube videos that teach you how to arrange the wires into the plastic connectors, crimp and test the cable. Testing is extremely important to avoid hard to troubleshoot intermittent network problems later on. Probably 30% of my crimps failed testing and needed to be redone, sometimes 2 or 3 times, even after I perfected my technique, so always leave a few inches or more of extra cable. It takes nearly 2 inches of cable every time you need to redo an end.

Thanks for the tips Jesse! After all that info I'm tempted to try myself but as its only for one connection I'll see if I can hire someone first.
