Where to buy a decent USB microphone in HH, can be second hand

Post by jednakropka »

Hello,

Anyone knows where to buy a decent USB microphone in HH?
By quality I mean no tesco ones
Preferably I would like to buy Samson go Mic or Blue Yeti.
Also, if anyone have this type of microphone here in a good condition I can buy it for the right price.

I'm presuming here you mean a condenser mic with a big capsule, as opposed to something like an SM58 generic. There is an IT shop next to The Baguette on the Petchekasem Road, just before the palace heading out of town. There is also a music shop (used to be Yamaha branded) on the 3rd floor Market Village towards the cinema end, which might do good quality mics.

"Decent" and "USB" rarely go together so you might end-up with a good mic but need a USB audio interface from the likes of Presonus or Focusrite, which you could ask InvadeIT about on Soi 6.

Thank you for the reply

Used to be like this (because of the way microphone used to be built) but nowadays there is no difference if you have quality microphone ( e.g.Audio-Technica AT2020USB), top experts and tests say this.

Condenser mic is too sensitive for my surroundings unless it can be adjust like Blue yeti.

Fair point regarding the top-end USB mics. I don't believe you will find any Audio-Technica gear in or around Hua Hin, however. Good luck with the search.
