Got a screenshot/pic?
Need a bit more info, desktop, laptop? Could be a failing graphics card or physical screen ... plugging into a spare monitor or TV will tell which it is.

I don't see any line, just blue.

Very possible.... computers, telephones, Tv`s, etc., shall not last anymore, not good for producers and retailers
The first Laptop I had was as this one a hp and last me 10 years and cost 75K... nowadays I need to change every 3-4 years.

Re: The Digital Surgery (computer questions/problems here)
Sorry, mine was somewhat of a sarcastic post - as to changing every 3-4 years, that's a personal choice IMHO. I have a Samsung TV that is around 10 years old, cracking picture but the APPs are out of date and it's not possible to upgrade the software/system. HOWEVER, I can get all I want through the fairly cheap addition of an Amazon Firestick. Similarly, both my phone and laptop are a number of years old and as far as I'm concerned will last a few more.
Anywho,
With regards to your question though, I still don't see the "line" in your screenshot?
[EDIT] Is it only the "Home Screen" you see the horizontal line, or all times?

I allow me to twist definition of "sarcastic" in this case. And the link here and many other just supports what I said and what millions of people has as experience. https://www.vox.com/the-goods/23529587/ ... technology.pharvey wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 7:34 pmSorry, mine was somewhat of a sarcastic post - as to changing every 3-4 years, that's a personal choice IMHO. No back to my question regarding the screenshot which every time I try to attach get the message that it's too big, except two camera pictures but there is the line not visible so here I try again........

Re: The Digital Surgery (computer questions/problems here)
Have you taken the advice given before and tried to cast the laptop to your TV, plugged the machine into a TV with HDMI, or tried to link to another PC screen somehow, to make sure it's not screen damage?
You could uninstall and reinstall your graphics card or onboard graphics chip, in Device Manager, it's listed under Display Adapter. It's not difficult (Google is your friend) but if you don't think you can do this and you don't think you have damaged your screen, I don't think anyone here can help, you need to take your lappy to a professional.
