My Ipad Mini is sick again if you turn the device the screen rotation is not following.
I am thinking of setting it back to factory setting but suspect this won't cure the problem.
Has anyone else had a similar issue I don't know if it's had a shock by being dropped as it has a leather case around it.

Re: Ipad Mini Screen Rotation
Not sure if the mini is the same as a normal iPad, but there's a button on the top to lock the screen - could it have been turned on accidentally?kendo wrote:My Ipad Mini is sick again if you turn the device the screen rotation is not following.

It's the little button beside the volume controls.

Re: Ipad Mini Screen Rotation
I guess the you have checked that the lock rotation has not become inadvertently checked in General settings. This has happened to me a few times, usually after an OS upgrade.

Assuming you have checked all of the above, press and hold both the home switch and power switch together until the screen goes black and keep holding them until the apple logo appears, then let go. This is a hard reset and should reboot any wayward sensors without you losing all of your settings.
Otherwise, back-up your iPad to a computer via iTunes and then restore the iPad to factory settings then restore it with the back up.

Mods,
I posted on this thread today but it never shows up.
Can you track my attempt even if I might've hit Cancel instead of Submit by mistake?
Not important since my answer is the same as other posts.
Just want to know if I was hit.
Thanks.

Thank you for the replies guys, bang on the last up grade changed the settings the last few upgrades have been dodgy to say the least. When ipdated to OS8 I thought I had a virus on here as posted on my last IPad thead it had I mind of its own. Just doing the usual browsing and no browsing it started to have a mind of its own controlling it's self with web pages and downloads, photos and maps flashing up the counters for dates and times were spinning around with no apps or browser tabs open quite peculiar really.
Cheers.

Re: Ipad Mini Screen Rotation
Upgraded my Ipad Mini again to OS8.2 and it has become sick again controlling it's self as described in above post. Has anyone else had an issue like this.
