They didn't say "all users" or "all VPN users". Were the so-called journalists playing it safe or did Netflix not claim they've stopped all VPN users?

A NordVPN users and the NordVPN representative on reddit claimed yesterday their VPN works on Netflix - with the warning that you gotta set it up right. https://www.reddit.com/r/VPN/comments/4 ... n_netflix/

I signed up for the free trial. It worked very well. No bandwidth problems. I cancelled before the trial ended because I had watched all that they had available and I was interested in. I did watch many hours.

This past week I have tried a new DNS service based in Oz, called GETFLIX. They offer a 14 day trial period and I must say I am impressed, the nearest servers they offer are Malaysia and Singapore. Works great with my U.S. Netflix and Hulu accounts. Also they are about $20 a year cheaper than the other services.

Internet Bandwidth: fast.com

Post by Ratsima »

Netflix has introduced https://fast.com as a simple way to measure your bandwidth based on files downloaded from Netflix's servers. The results are download only. I've tried it a few times. I have TOT Fiber that is supposed to be 20Mbps. So far, my results have ranged from 18-20. I've never had any problem streaming Netflix.

Netflix also provides an ISP comparison page. You can find it here: https://ispspeedindex.netflix.com/country/thailand/

The results puzzle me. How can they be so poor? Are there that many people about who still have really crummy Internet?
