GPRS + sim for a laptop.

Hi People,
I have heard that there is now a gismo available in Thailand which plugs into a laptop, runs on pay as you go sim cards and guarantees internet connection anywhere, even remote areas. Does anyone know about this and if so does it work and where do I get one?
