E-books and e-book readers
Re: E-books and e-book readers
Likewise with the single login address although I somehow found it myself about three weeks ago.

Has anyone other than me been receiving hectoring emails from Z-lib saying that they are making it a closed system, and all access to it will be cut off at some point if you haven't donated to them?GeorgieGirl wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 2:07 pm I had lost Z library for about one week. No I want to donate but over the last 3 years I have complained that none of my credit cards - MBNA and VISA are on their list so I want to but cannot and they have no answer - anyone else have this problem?

Re: E-books and e-book readers
I just received a similar email this morning threatening to cut me off if I don't donate. I have also tried to donate in the past but found it impossible because of the systems they use. I emailed them in the past about this but never received a reply. Looks like if I get cut off I get cut off.

I agree, I have money in a Skrill account that I put there a while back to buy a voucher from a recommended 3rd party company to donate but it just gets returned. I'll be cut off, whatever. I have hundreds of books I need to read, quite few of them nice hardbacks on bookshelves at home, it's just that sadly I'm a Kindle addict these days!londongeorge wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 8:07 am I just received a similar email this morning threatening to cut me off if I don't donate. Anyway, it may just be an idle threat, to increase donations, not unheard of.
Re: E-books and e-book readers
Be careful. A lot of them are scams sent by fake domain names imitating Z-library, trying to get people to send them money. I bin them instantly and still have access, though their domain does change often.

A couple of prominent scam websites:
z-lib.id
z-lib.io
Z-Lib's Telegram account is Z-Library Official, don't join any other. It's good to keep up with all their announcements including key feature improvements, working web addresses and scam websites.
They reached their Spring fundraising target.

Re: E-books and e-book readers
I have been away for 2.5 weeks and on my return am having trouble downloading books from Zlib. The problem is that there's no button to initiate the download.
I'm using the following site - https://singlelogin.re/ which was working fine before I went away.
Am I missing something? Has the site moved to another address? Where's the download button gone?
I check out Anna's Archive this morning and downloaded one book but it's painfully slow.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for that.
Everything is working fine now by sending books to my email address and downloading from there.

Re: E-books and e-book readers
Be careful of those fake websites ...
10 million exposed by Z-Library copycat
Ten million people thought they were accessing an e-book piracy site called Z-Library. Instead, scammers collected their personal information, passwords, crypto addresses, and, possibly, payments. What’s worse, they leaked all their information, exposing users to other cybercriminals and authorities.
Until now the largest digital piracy exposure occurred in 2007, when a group of hackers attacked Pirate Bay and revealed 1.5 million users' emails and passwords.
On June 27th, 2024, the Cybernews research team discovered an exposed database containing almost 10 million users’ data.
The data belonged to a threat actor operating a malicious clone of Z-Library, a well-known shadow online platform for pirating books and academic papers.

Can confirm singlelogin.re still works, my email inbox is full of sci-fi now!

Re: E-books and e-book readers
I like the singlelogin.re much better than having books sent to my email address.
