There were a police razzia 3-4 hours ago in Stockholm.

Here's a short clip from the local news (not corrected Google translation):

Expressen:
Here hitting police against file-sharing site The Pirate Bay.

Several servers were seized and reportedly told Expressen so detained one person.
Shortly after the raid went down the site.
- This indicates that we found something that has been with Pirate Bay, said prosecutor Fredrik Ingblad.

In a rock shelter in Nacka, the police on Tuesday morning to against a server room that they suspect has links to the Swedish file-sharing site The Pirate Bay.
During the raid was encountered several people inside the server room and according to the prosecutor held hearings with them.

Search many torrent sites from here: http://torrentz.me
In the search results I look for extratorrent.cc and h33t.to because my malware / virus detector has never objected on those two sites.

If you're into British programmes, Richard, try TV Chaos. It's a file sharing site, so you need to keep the programmes for a while for others to upload to have a healthy download/upload ratio.

^^^ "Kickass" has always been good Richard - http://katproxy.bz/ I use this for general downloads. Movie torrents at "Yifi" tend to be available a little later than other sites, but are ALWAYS great quality - definitely worth a try - http://www.yify-torrent.org/

I have tried to download from YIFY just now and all downloads but when I went to PLAY the VLC or Media Player would not show any picture - what have I done wrong?

The alternative is to pay for things legally... they are on a mission and will shut all the sharing sites down eventually.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Tried but my 'Avast' software won't let it run. Tried the 'exclusion settings' but still failed :(

That's not how the internet works!

Every time one site goes down, 10 more pop up in its place.

Strange - all I can say is that I've never had an issue with Yifi and VLC is my default player. I use Bit torrent to download/open the torrent, so maybe that's a solution.

Richard, one issue with Kickass (if that's the one you're having problems with) is that you do get a lot of "pop-up" adds which could be causing you problems.

I also use Opera to access all torrent sites and the like as it hides your IP address.
