From time to time, people make posts in the wrong section. I've done it once, myself. The result usually is the following:
OP posts another post in the same section, wondering what happened to his other one.
Mod advises him that it's been moved
New thread is locked
Might it be an idea for the mod who moves the post to send a quick PM advising of it's new location, to avoid the above little routine?

It usually does happen, if they forget (which they do from time to time as they are human and not pieces of software) simply using the "view new posts" or "view your posts" links as the moderators frequently suggest will show you where the topic has gone. Posting in the correct section to begin with will also alleviate this problem.
