Mod's Forum

Post by Bangkokney »

Lev,

You now have a number of mod's including people that it appears have never been moddy's on boards before.

Might be a good idea to have a private forum to discuss and pass on board etiquette plus other info etc ...

Sticking my Snout in

Beware if you intend to put up a Moderator's forum, as the 'plebs' may look on this as being eliteist. (and it may turn out that way).

ThaiVisa is getting a bad name for moderator's attitude (some just suspicion and some probably accurate http://forum.sawadee.com/viewtopic.php?t=809 ).

Mods can communicate by PM - there shouldn't be so many of them that this becomes difficult.

Go for the private forum if you wish, but please don't appear to be setting up an elitist group who are able to discuss affairs that the ordinary mortals are not party to.

Cheers

PeteB,

forums can be 'hidden' to different levels of users in phpBB, in fact it may be there already

PM's are fine for 'quickies' but when a discussion is required amongst a group a thread is more useful.

Quickies

Post by PeteB »

Bangkokney,

Remember, I'm the short, fat, bald one.

Can't imagine anything other than a 'quickie' these days.

Never know whether things are hidden, or I just forgot where they were!

There is an opportunity for a 'short fat bald guy' new clothing line here ...

Label : Where's My Wiener.

Logo : 'lacoste' style 'sausage dog'.

Moddy forum

Some of us still have their hair ... thank you very big. Although I don't know how long for!

Pete: Good points, I used to use Thaivisa.com forums a fair bit but find the members themselves very immature and forever sniping at each other, just read some of the posts in the Hua Hin section:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showforum=34

The members on HHAD on the otherhand are far more sophisticated
