just booked up

Post by curlybaggie »

just booked up for a 13 night stay at jings guesthouse from 28th october to 11th november. i got a fantastic flight deal with ebookers, flying with thai air from heathrow for only £585. i don't usually fly with thai air because of the lack of seat back entertainment, but at that price i could'nt turn it down. i'd love to meet up for a beer if anyones up for it.

While I am jealous, I must say that I've only paid that much once since 1991 for a flight to Thailand. I'm sure you could have done better.

Haven't looked recently but seems reasonable for a direct flight though ?

hi big boy, i'm sure you can get better deals if you have a stopover but i like to fly direct and direct flights are very expensive at the moment. thai air are charging £828 on their website to sit in the same seat on the same plane.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me, I don't expect to pay less than £550 with a stopover.
I've just payed £620 with Emirates for early December.

Big Boy,

Think you are behind the times now. The only cheapies are the Indian airlines stopping in Mumbai etc and they are now all well over £500 even during low season. Most flights December onwards are £700 plus with stops.

The flights themselves are reasonable enough it is all the tax that is now added that make the flights so expensive in some cases the tax is more than the actual air fare!
