restringing vintage pearls

Where is the best place to have vintage pearls restrung .. good quality silk ..... and how much should it cost??

I don't know any one around H.H town who can do the restringing for you but Mrs. deepee has been in the pearl business for 35 years and she will be back in town soon,end of April latest. You might like to have a chat to her then for some advice. If you do find someone locally before hand make sure you do get a full description repair receipt for them. Count pearls with the store person and noting the beads sizes too. Taking a snap shot in front of them on the counter would be sensible. Silk thread is preferable , ask if the ends at the clasp will be reinforced with fine wire "gimping"too.
