TOP CCTV are still going, they will come out and give you a quote for a whole gated community. If you just want for your home you could buy a system in Home Pro.
thanks a lot, as I am a utter nut in wiring etc and the cams are for outdoor use around a house, I would rather get a pro to wire it all up!. Thanks for the info

Very popular now are IP cameras - no data cable needed as the video travels by WiFi to the central unit in your house, and for power each camera runs on a rechargeable battery and each charge lasts for months. Easy and cheap to install and flexible (you can reposition them).

Also for outside the house, check the weatherproofing claims and also IR (infrared) performance and auto switching to IR. IR has a very limited range, so the positioning of any outdoor lighting is quite important for nighttime performance.

CJ, I'm assuming they supply the cameras also... any idea what models they stock? I'm looking for a High-res outdoor camera with a pan&tilt function.
GN.

Edit: I see Invade IT has a good selection of what I want.

They have a shop/showroom which has a fair few on display, I guess there are options. I didn't get that far with them yet as I'm waiting for their first quotation.

Their Facebook page 'TOP CCTV Hua-Hin' shows the location. Probably good to ask K. Pui to meet you as staff don't often speak English.

:agree: We used Wim and he was spot on.
From my last interaction with Smart Alarm it seems that Wim's Thai partner is now looking after the business.
Dragging up this old thread to ask for a friend.

My friend had a system installed by Smart Alarm, and has been dealing quite happily for the last 3 years with Narongrit, who I presume was the Thai partner. It is now service time and Narongrit has failed to show and my friend can't contact him. Does anybody:

- Know what has happened to Narongrit (maybe changed his phone number)?
- Know of an alternate company who could carry out the service, without having to have a new system installed?

I suspect that Top CCTV, as mentioned in the post just before yours, are still around as I see their van(s) around and about.

Top CCTV is good service but their hardware products are not good quality and some of the hardware boxes connected to the cams tend to break down regularly.
