Wife's just spoken to the water office. They confirmed that they've had a letter from Pranburi but it's "don't panic" we're having another meeting to see how we can alleviate things.

That fills me full of confidence.

Hi,

Is there any update on this ? I would be surprised if it is more than a 6-12 hour a day suspension in different areas as that won't affect people with tanks. Doing a mass turn off for more than a day or 2 could cause problems for tourists which would be a no-no in HH.

Hua Hin water shortage

Post by caller »

I live in Thap Tai, and we have been told Monday 2nd December is the big day, no times included. And the message from our jurustic office makes clear it is, 'according to the announcement of Pranburi Waterworks Authority'.

The area covered is, 'Hua Hin - Pranburi'.

It further states: Once the water is restored, there may be a temporary drop in water pressure as the system stabilizes. Please be mindful and avoid overuse or wastage as the system recovers.

Does this include Hua Hin town (municipality)? Thap Tai, Hin Lek Fai, etc are not in the municipal area so are served by a different water authority.

Not sure how much influence Pranburi water has on municipal Hua Hin water these days. Trouble is that HH Water is very bad with its PR. We had a one day water outage a few days ago but there was nothing on the water department's Facebook page or the municipal web site.

So I hope it's not much of a disruption for you Pranburi water people and no disruption at all for us. ImageImage

Got this from our village committee yesterday, must admit still trying to figure out what's happening.
Dear House Owners and leases,

Referring to the government water authority announcement published in the newspaper “Hua Hin Today”

The Pranburi and Hua Hin Irrigation and Maintenance Project is planning for December to stop water delivery, to complete the renovation of the original water drainage piping and system, which shuts off the water. This will result in the inability to deliver water into the Pranburi - Hua Hin water pipeline
Therefore, from December 2-9, you will not be able to use water during the named hours, as mentioned. water supply will resume as usual on December 9th at 6:00 p.m.
We therefore request to be aware and be alert to reserve or spare water during the water supply stops

Detailed information can be found at the link below:

Our manager in Hin Lek Fai near to the new Daddy Deli claims that there will be maintenance Dec 1 thru 6 but will not affect our water supply. Roll of the dice I guess, so many rumours and speculation.

Update on the water supply shutdown of Pranburi water supply and maintenance project.

According to the Pranburi Water Supply and Maintenance Project, I would like to cancel and change the plan to shut down the water supply to the canal between 2 - 9 December 2567

Pranburi Water Supply and Maintenance Project has been agreed by Huahin Municipal Irrigation that it is not sufficient to reserve raw water in the reservoir. After considering this, the project should be postponed the plan to shut off the water supply to the canal for a distance of kilometers. 0+000 - KM 6+900 as requested by Hua Hin Municipal Plumbing.
Water supply will be turned off on 11 December 2567 at 07.00 hrs. - 18.00 P.M. It has been 1 day to complete the renovation of the drainage building into the old canal. This type of closure will result that water cannot be sent into the Pranburi - Thanarat camp and Pranburi water pipeline - Hua Hin (old line) that receives water from the main canal for a distance of kilometers. 0+000 - KM 6+900 got and on 11 - 18 December 2567 for 8 days which is HDPE pipe and steel pipe for km. 0+240 of Huahin Municipality irrigation will receive water at 18.00 p.m. On 11 December 2567 AC pipe section of Hua Hin municipality irrigation for km. 6+900 will receive water at 18.00 hrs. On 18 December 2567 together with the Pranburi water pipeline - Thanarat camp.

Therefore, I ask for cooperation to be used during the water supply interruption. If it is completed before the schedule, Project 9 will continue to open the water into the system.
