Lucky Hua Hin eh ...

Miss Thailand World contestants collect garbage on Hua Hin beach
hirty contestants in a Miss Thailand World 2018 pageant collected garbage on Hua Hin beach on Wednesday.

The environmental conservation activity was organized by Trash Hero non-profit organization for the 30 beauty contestants to collect garbage alongside dozens of local schoolchildren on the world-renowned Hua Hin beach, around 200 km south of Bangkok.

The Miss Thailand World contestants did so in sustained effort to help raise the public awareness of adverse effects of the littering of garbage, particularly plastic waste, on land and in the sea which might otherwise spoil the environment and cause serious perils to aquatic animals, said an official of the organization.

31 Heroes (including 1 child) cleared 50 Kg of trash from the beach this afternoon. Amount of trash collected was down today, due to the high tide.

As always, an excellent effort - well done.

Unfortunately, rain stopped play yesterday. However, the sponsors for the day still wined and dined our Heroes.
