Bangkok 1433 hours

The rain came down just over an hour ago with Cumulus Nimbus clouds + Thunder and Lightning signaling its arrival several hours before. This rain comes down with such an intensity only witnessed during the great Monsoon of 2001 in Hua Hin @ Stamford Univ where it rained for five consecutive days straight,
Traffic all over BKK is now @ haywire as the rain and Thunder comes down. I will bring another update @ 1800 hours rrom the weatherfront,
Update 1500 hours April 26.
The worst has past oveaur and them Rains has stopped.

The rain is back this side, woke me up at 0330. First since my April 26 posts. Reports say HH is getting it also, and 80-100% chance for HH and over here for the next 4-5 days. Welcome relief! Pete

At last.
I was awake at 0500hrs.
Sun was coming up over the sea.
A cool breeze gently rippled the sea.
Rain is due later. A gentle 4 hour shower.
Can't complain, hasn't rained much in 5 weeks.
Might make my flowers and vegetables look even healthier.
The days are getting warmer and longer.
No snakes are expected in my garden.
And the other creepy crawlie bitey things are in short supply.
Oh sorry did i forget to mention i am in Norfolk UK.
So when you smug ex-pats boast about how your Singha just gets too warm when your on the beach on the 16th of December.
Remember a good English summer.

I have always wondered if this radar image is a true indication.

Is it raining now where you are and does the image show it?

Fierce is the only description for last night and this morning this side of the Gulf. High winds uprooting trees and sheets of rain coming down sideways.

Had to go out and get some milk at 0600 and drove down by the ocean and you can see the storms stacked up one after the other coming from the WSW. A nasty (but cool) day in store. Pete

Storms here too Pete. Our power went off (the entire surrounding area, just south of Hua Hin) around 3:00 a.m. and didn't come back until between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

You should be fine. There's more likelihood of rain (sometimes heavy) in the afternoons but it only lasts for about an hour maximum.
