Here is a link to the Rainfall Radar from the Thai Met. Dept: http://weather.tmd.go.th/bma_nkLoop.php

(In Firefox you sometimes have to hit F5 to refresh, Chrome seems to do it automatically. There is a 10-15 minute time-lag on the data...)
This site confirms what we've all noticed about isolated showers in the area. Also, sometime the rain stays in Keang Krachan and never actually get to the coast.

Yes, I've just driven back from the airport in it. The water was over the pavements as we waited at the Tessebahn lights.

I'm thinking it's probably the heaviest and longest rain storm, the loudest thunder claps and brightest lightening I have seen in my 2 years here in Soi 88 Hua Hin. I do love a good storm. :D

Is that the newly constructed park south of town? State of the art.

Last year new storm drains when in on my street.

Guess what?

The latest satellite photo shows a large amount of rain still moving from east to west so it may be raining into the evening here in HH.

Yes, I think that's where it is.

They seem to be creating lakes around there, so I don't know if they've filled.

At 04:00 AM experiencing the heaviest rain I have ever seen at this location.

The amount of water coming down is amazing.

I just heard a small distance explosion and the power went out for a moment.

^ If you look at below link quick (posted 0630), you'll see what's coming through/came through. It stayed off the coast here in Rayong. Pete

Yes the photo is at the exit of the '7 Kings Park' onto the main road. the lakes are not complete yet from what you can see so no water from them, the problem yesterday afternoon was that the park has large drain holes in the side wall of the park that funnel run off water from the park grounds on to Phet Kasem Road.
