Re: How not to get sick on holiday in Thailand

I go for a pro bio drink, loads of water and at least one very spicy dish per day. Eat eggs but I’m careful with prawns and also use the busy street vendor rule.

Re: HiSea hotel

Just a quick update, was there for 12 nights. Lucky for me the school next door was on holiday most of the time as the 1st two days, they weren't. Very noisy from about 7:30 am. Lovely hotel though with friendly staff. You have to fill in a form in on entry, that has a stipulation that any guests in...

Re: British tourists in nasty brawl minutes after seeing in the New Year at Hua Hin

How on earth did that make the mainstream news in the UK? I’m sure there’s worse fights in many high streets in the UK that don’t even make the local papers. Mad.

Re: HiSea hotel

For what it is worth, I think you will find that 99% of the hotels in Thailand are guest friendly, or at least they used to be. Yep, never had a problem anywhere, North, South, East or West. If you book the room for two people (same price as one anyway) there can be no argument, nor any chance of a...

Re: HiSea hotel

Let us know how you get on. Obviously nobody could help you, but others may benefit from your experience. Will do. Where there’s a will there’s a way. Maybe a little tad of sarcasm in my initial reply as I find there’s normally someone that knows something. Not trying to offend anyone. :D

Re: What is your favorite bar and why ?

Almost all of the Bintabaht section seemed to have adopted a buy me dlink attitude, no problem buying a drink but thats more or less all thats on offer down there at the moment. Found soi 80 much more fun and particularly enjoyed Hua Hin Bar... Is this recent? So sad as I am there this time next we...

We know soi 80 as 'the dark side'. As in "let's go for a slide around on the dark side" love it 😍

Re: Soi 80 Walking Street?

I can report that Soi 80 is a walking street every Wednesday, not all of it is cut off though. About 1/4 of the way up to 3/4. They have music and I would say it works very well. Works very well !!! For whom ??? Some of them, most are not happy with this. Sorry, I was being selfish. Works fo...

Re: What is your favorite bar and why ?

After my last visit, i'm afraid to say Panama bar has been crossed off my list. Its moved over the road to a bigger premises, the musics louder, clientele younger. Had a nasty experience where a rather drunk bar girl, danced up against me for 5 seconds then proceeded to buy herself a drink and give ...
