Re: Official population of Thailand 66,171,439, lower than previous figures

How do they go about counting the population? In the US it's door to door, I know that's not done here.

Re: GBP vs THB

After the exchange rate against the baht heading to 46 for the pound, now all major currencies have nosedived against the baht this week. More shenanigans by the BOT I guess. Now 44.87 The dollar has dropped from 33.9 to 32.9 in less than a week. Maybe it's because Thailand is importing more produc...

Re: Thailand plans to make cannabis plant fully usable next year

The compounds have to be isolated from the plant, you can't smoke a joint and stave off Covid. Alas.

There's also been research on a Chinese Traditional Medicine herb, Jinhua Qinggan granules, that has been shown to reduce symptoms of Covid.

Re: Hua Hin Airport Begins Flights to Chiang Mai & Udon Thani

It’s obviously down to supply and demand - at the moment the demand is low so they only run flights twice a week - you can surely understand that they aren’t going to fly near-empty planes every day!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's true. It seems that flying from HH to CM on Fri. and ret...

Long rime since I have been tuned in so possibly this has already been mentioned but a Bkk Post editorial, “Retirement No Mere Snooze” touches onto a lot of topics that perpetually rotate thru this forum. https://www.bangkokpost.com/opinion/opinion/2248151/ The comments are as interesting as the ar...

Re: Menu/food prices rising in Bangkok and Thailand

I'd be willing to bet if everyone stopped buying new cars for 1 year the prices would drop. I never do anything FFS. But then, I don't have temper tantrums either. I would be willing to bet if everyone stopped eating for a year ... they would die. :banghead: We broke our Macro record over the weeke...

Try this link: https://www.airasia.com/en/gb Click on the "Flights" icon and start filling in your requirements. I could find return flights to Chiang Mai without too much difficulty. See example below. Peculiar that it's more expensive to go to Chiang Mai than to return and if you don't ...

Could you send a link?

Maybe I'm asking the wrong question.

I asked for Air Asia flights from Hua HIn to Chiang Mai and got a page full of question choices.

Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News

Mr. Beam Pizza on Soi 88, loved that place, but it had been closed lately. Word I got was that it was only temporary. I would drive by occasionally, in hopes of finding them open again, but no dice. Today I drove by and the signs had been taken down and it was locked up. Guess that’s it for Mr. Bea...
