Re: Like Somalia - Thailand is a Lawless Country

I would rather live in Thailand! It certainly has problems and will take our lifetimes and more to change, but I am still hopeful it becomes more developed and less corrupt before the good old USA fully collapses under its debt. As far as the Sex trade, I have seen it in most of the Asian countries....

Re: Walking

Great video HH Farang, I chuckled a few times watching it. My God! I walked all these years without those poles, I could have had an injury many times. Growing up in the country and walking up and down those hills with that slippery grass etc, cow paddies, and such, I wonder how I was able to surviv...

Re: Accommodation and transport to Hua Hin

Berroni Is this the first time to Thailand. If so, for sure take the bus from the BKK airport to Hua Hin. Once you are in Hua Hin, the city is not very large compared with BKK. The Hilton is easy to see from blocks away. If need be for you and your luggage, find a taxi or Tuk Tuk to Hilton. From the...

Re: Walking around Tourist area with a pushchair

I guess this is why Thailand is still one of the developing countries and will be for the next 100 years or so. If the Government tries to call it a developed country, then they should go and visit some real developed countries, with their own money of course. I still see places in North America tha...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

HH Farang, I am getting a good chuckle from your new saying.
I think that way when I see some of the drivers every day in
Calgary. Some are bad drivers, and others are the drivers with a cell phone to their ear,
or are texting as they head for their next accident.

Re: Going to be at Palapon Hua Hin for 12 weeks

Wow Brev, 12 weeks. You should be in great shape by the end of your stay, assuming that you don't tank up too much on your days off, ha ha ha. I read some articles of this place, and if I wasn't the age that I am I might be interested in staying there and getting in better shape. However I get my ex...

Re: hi from london

Hey Chrissy Hope you are finding a great visit in Hua Hin. The pace is way different than Pattaya or Bangkok. Every time I visit Hua Hin, I find dome differences. More development, more shopping, and surprisingly even some of the streets seem fixed up a bit. I do appreciate that Hua Hin is not too f...

Re: Just to say Hello

Hello to Mack and the other new members. I only joined this forum in 2013 and have gotten lots of great information from it. Also unlike the Bangkok addicts forum, I don't see the same stories or inquiries for sure, and that's a relief. The members pictures are tamer, and the profile pics are way di...
