In the early version he even did a Hollamdaise sauce but that proved too messy. I am not a big Mcds fan, but thier breakfa...

Re: Have you decided to leave Thailand and/or Hua Hin?

It is interesting how a language has a culture built into it. I worked for a company, one of the Thai senior managers had spent many years in the US, his English was perfect. If things went wrong, he would lose his temper and shout at the staff BUT he would shout in English. It was 'permissible' to ...

Re: Homeless foreigners in Thailand 'lack assistance'

A couple of years ago, I saw a farang begging on Sukhumvit near Robinson's, I wanted to help. I went to McD and bought a hamburger and juice for him. I offered them to him. He cursed me out and said he wanted money. I walked away with my McD meal and gave it to a Thai beggar, who smiled and thanked ...

AEC--Look at the European Union. I agree that the essential way of doing things will remain the same, That is true in the European Union too, the Italians remain Italians and the Germans German, but slowly, through the central authorities dictats some change will evolve. Re: Restaurant News

Stickman's review of Chau Lay was a rave one. I have eaten tere several times and agrree the food is good and the portiond large. I am surprised that many expats heredismiss it as a tourist trap. It is I understand favored by Chinese Thais particularly. He also talks about smaller dock side food sta...

Re: Homeless foreigners in Thailand 'lack assistance'

I think I notice a difference between British retirees and European retirees' The Swedes, Danes Norwegians Dutch and Germans that I know, all regard returning to their native country as a reasonable and possible option. British retirees seem to find that move much less attractive. Am I correct?
