Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Good to see that Thailand is achieving results above the norm. Thai people must be special. They don't seem all that special when it comes to the AZ vaccine. UK had similar results in larger samples. More than 90% of Britons develop antibodies to coronavirus after having one dose of the Astr...

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap
I don't think Mr Krod(as reported in the Bangkok Post article above) understands the concept of herd immunity. A small sub-unit (Hua Hin) of the herd (Thailand, SEA, Asia ??) won't do it. Vaccinating 70% of your little herd may be enough for short-term limited "herd immunity", but maybe no...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading
Unless you've watched Star Wars Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Resistance (not so relevant) animated series you won't be familiar with some of the characters that show up in The Mandalorian and other new Star Wars series to follow on.

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap
So the people working in tourism will be fine, but the at least 100,000 tourists will be poisonous to the average man on the street - good plan :? Isn't the "average man on the street" included in "Under the Hua Hin Recharge project, she said the government will accelerate the procur...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
I like to think that provincial and local public health authorities and hospitals have people who know what they're doing (unlike the politicians who just like the sound of their own voices uttering idiotic statements and soundbites) and where possible are getting organized and setting things up for...

I think the built-in Windows firewall is perfectly adequate.

Wow, a sad tale on the Hua Hin Covid-19 community support FB site. A farang virtually imprisoned in Sam Roi Yod hospital.

Even if the suspension finished on time there would be quite a backlog to clear.

^^ Maybe it's only government holiday not bank holiday, as usual. I was thinking they made it one of the Covid specials.

Re: Retirement Visa Extension and Wise (Transferwise)
Just implemented a transfer from the UK via 'Wise' (I do this around the same time every month). I was happy with the rate but now only guaranteed for 3 hours whereas before it was around 48 hours. The biggest change was after accepting my money, they inform me that it will be paid in 2 days. Is th...

Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap
Just watching the news on channel 3 and MV got mention in the report about the pineapple factory.
The news also mentioned that they will be urgently vaccinating people who live in the immediate vicinity.
