Re: Songtaews and Zoo ??

Songtew has no regular schedule but they do stop around 6pm when it gets dark. Just waive one down when you see it coming your way.

Re: The Sofitel Centara Grand Resort & Villas V Sheraton Res

V Villas is independent from Sofitel or Sheraton. V Villa is located further South on Petchkasam Road before the flyover on the left side of the road as you go South, very exclusive and small. Sheraton is way up north on the border of HH and Cha-Am.

Re: Thai Style hotel design

Try the new Asara Resort. It's practically next door to Anatara (right next door to Palm Pavilion). Individual bungalow and pool etc.....high end but beautiful.

Yes, you could hear the mosque near PH but it depends on the wind and where you live on the complex. PH maybe boring to some but they do have killer greens and it's a great course to walk as the distance between holes are not very long. BM by hands down, is the best if not for the prices of the prop...

If you are really serious about retiring to HH in the near future then buy whenever you see something that you like. GBP vs THB is down 30% or more and the housing prices is also down +/-30%. If and when GBP gets back up, housing prices will also climb up. If you don't buy then someone else from oth...

BTW, BM and Banyan are resident members only. PH, Majestic, Lake View and Springfield all have memberships for sale to outsiders.

All the golf communities have "life time" memberships attached to their properties. BM has 4 memberships per house. In addition, Palm Hills sells non-property owners 30 years membership at about 300K BHT. Can also buy "2nd hand" membership from a third party - check the local pap...

My apologies to all for asking very basic questions. Yes, I do have a lawyer here in HH and he handled the purchase of the house efficiently. I just like to find out what "real people's" experience with some of the real life issues. Thai laws are not always black and white and sometimes no...
