Re: Pedestrian traffic lights at Bangkok Hospital

Ah, today must be Monday. The lights are working today.

Some activity on the roof of the hospital 'copter pad this morning. Landing place for the upcoming mobile cabinet meeting?

Thought for the day..............is it safer to use a Thai 'copter in HH rather than crossing the road?

Re: Negative comments about life in Thailand as a "farang"

:agree: Good post Takiap. We all moan. It's human nature but when I compare my life here with my previous 'ports of call ', long or short, I'm thankful. Some of those persistent moaners on the forum should try a spell in Zimbabwe or dare I say RSA :duck: My moans are merely 'niggles' and usually jus...

Re: The Rugby Thread

One thing that I found interesting were the referred decisions and the detailed video analysis of the event concerned highlighting in slow motion a detailed view of what actually occurred. I think it's a shame this technology isn't applied to football particularly with all the winging that goes on a...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Well I've just surfaced. Somewhat bleary eyed but worth it. A fantastic night/early morning session of rugby. Not only entertaining but what a magnificent crescendo and climax. Thanks must go to the Welsh for that second half routing of collapsing Italy. Without that it would not have been so nail b...

Re: Pedestrian traffic lights at Bangkok Hospital

Sorry, I thought is was a private hospital (owned by one of the richest Thais in the Kingdom) and number one resident would not set foot in it while HH hospital is kitted up for the purpose

Re: Pedestrian traffic lights at Bangkok Hospital

I have noticed the same for several weeks and I'm convinced that come weekends when BK arrives the MIB switch 'em off in order to demonstrate their skills in traffic management particularly as tourists will note just what good care they are taking of them (Thai PR sh1t). The BK hospital lights are n...

Re: Police Checks Soi 94

I rode past the police check-point (call it what you will)..near the railway station this last week. What I DID notice (& mentioned it to my wife) was that the MiB were searching Thai men/boys who they'd pulled over..to the point of them undressing..jackets & scarves were coming off, & ...
