Re: Movies on DVD
So I had a really successful movie day yesterday. After watching the eagle I put on ' 10 Cloverfield Lane '. Not expecting a great deal, I was pleasantly surprised. With a stellar performance from John Goodman, this movie was a real humdinger I thought. A girl wakes up after a car crash to find hers...

BB, I see that 'The Conjuring 2' is playing but only in Thai. Do they usually have an English showing later on or not at all?

Re: Movies on DVD
Eddie the Eagle is simply brilliant! A better 'feel good' movie, find you will not (for a while anyhow). A must-see for any Brit. The facial expressions during that last jump had me in stitches. Pharvey, just a heads up... When watching 'Grimsby' don't do it while you are eating as it really pushes...

Re: Movies on DVD
Eddie the Eagle, 10 Cloverfield Lane and London Has Fallen are all up on yts now (the latter got terrible reviews but I like Gerard Butler so I'll probably give it a whirl).
On Pharvey's recommendation I shall be enjoying Eddie the Eagle tonight.

^ Can't wait. ITV 19:00 (uk time) on Expat TV - England vs Russia. The word 'coverage' is used quite loosely though as, as far as I can see, there is only one game being shown this weekend on Thai Expat TV. BBC 1 are showing two live games on both Saturday and Sunday as well as some highlights. Tha...

I think it really just illuminates how pathetically inadequate our 'justice' system is back home.Exactly, this was a serious issue but lets not take it out of context

Man united fans seem to change their tune faster than the flapping wings of a hummingbird. Just skip to 0:25 to see a bunch of fans who will apparently side with the devil in order to get a result. 'Desperate' doesn't even cut it.

Re: Vicious Thai gangs at Songkran
The sentence given here was a lot stronger than what they would have had in the UK. Even if one of the three victims had died, they'd have only got 3 years in the UK.StevePIraq wrote:Is this any different that say the UK, there if the first offence they would get a suspended sentence or community service hours.

Haven't seen anyone condoning or excusing the abhorrent behavior by the Thai guys, hopefully, the lengthy jail term will be a deterrent to future louts who think a good kicking of semi-conscious people is something they can get away with. quote] 555 Not a chance.
