Re: The Rugby Thread

I was going to tank you for sorting out my day's rugby, but on closer examination I'll opt for: Exeter-Bath 3pm Bordeaux-Sarries 5.30pm Lenister-Leicester 8pm Three games (plus the earlier F1 Qualifying) would be crossing a line with the LHG that is not on the cards shall we say..... I'm allowed th...

Re: 2024 F1 News and Prediction League

Before suffering the wrath of "Nereus" for my bias for Mercedes and against Red BS... "Meanwhile, Mercedes were on the receiving end of a €5,000 fine – but not a grid drop – after the stewards found that they’d unsafely released Russell into the path of McLaren’s Oscar Piastri ...

Re: Looking For New Tablet

OK guys, I've gone for my upper range Samsung, minus the 5G capability. I'm happy it will more than meet my modest requirements. I did go for the 11" in the end as the higher spec 8.7" model did not seem to be available, and there was quite a difference in power. Thank you to all who cont...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Some decent rugby coming up today ([EDIT] https://www.wheresthematch.com/live-rugby-union-on-tv/) - highlights for me being: - Exeter vs Bath (Champions Cup - Last 16) 3pm UK Ospreys vs Sale (ERC - Last 16) 8pm UK These two could be very close IMHO - despite some recent results. Bath are unrecognisa...

Re: 2024 F1 News and Prediction League

Surprise, surprise, Crashappen and Red BS close out the Front Row in Qualifying... Lando Norris follows in 3rd for the "Best of the Rest" sharing the 2nd Row with Sainz. Leclerc however in the 2nd Ferrari is way back in a disappointing 8th. Somewhat mixed fortunes for Mercedes - des...

Re: Travel: Asia & Further Afield

As it turns out, we don't want to waste what the LHG has left on her visa, so a 4 Day break in Barcelona is the choice destination! :thumb: Unfortunately, I can't attend as my dear friends in the NHS  require my attendance. Have to say, I'm very jealous - personally, I love Barcelona and I'm g...

Re: Travel: Asia & Further Afield

Been watching a show called 'Travel Man: 48 Hours in...' with Richard Ayoade (who is a bit of a Marmite character). He does short breaks in cities within a couple of hours flight of the UK, plenty of ideas there that I'd never thought of and places I now want to visit. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt...

Well, the multi-bellied kebab lover continues to be in the news - whether it's for upsetting the normal order of things or whatever.. Either way, he seems to be on top for now at least..... The only reason I was aware of this is that it was in the Welsh News after he beat Price... "Teenager Luk...

Re: 2024 F1 News and Prediction League

It's only FP1 I know and you can't take much if anything from it, but....Damn, Red BS look very quick  :( Mercedes didn't look bad, but they were on "Softs"... Williams are once again in dire straits - Sargeant missed out on the Australian GP after his car was given to teammate Albon...

Re: Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Considering how hot it is here and the prospect of getting even hotter, I do smile at some weather headlines back in the UK. Here's one from this morning: UK hot weather: Full list of towns and cities set for scorcher as mercury soars to 20C 20C here is 'under the duvet' temperature! Well, let's be...
