Re: The Kumon method of learning.

If you want a child who is good at arithmatic use Kumon. If you want a child who is good at mathematics don't. They do not develop problem solving skills, and that is , apparently, vital for the 21st century. Personally, I would vary how they learn. There are so many books, games, and websites that ...

Re: Pet Show, Market Village

I was a bit sad the last time I went to this, though I understand these businesses need to make money, I don't like to see animals in cages. The only saving grace for me would be to be able to buy a Staff (not an ASBT). That would make my life complete. A wife I love, 2 kids that are the stars in my...

Re: Looking for a babysitter in April

I could ask my wife. She has qualifications in child care from the Uk as well as having worked in a nursery in the Uk. Her English is great, and she loves kids. How many hours a day do you need, and how many days a week. She is already working as a nanny but I will ask if you let me know

Re: Looking for full time maid/nanny

When you say full time, do you mean 8 hours a day 5 days a week? Obviously, in Thailand full time could be anything up to 12 hours a day 7 days a week. My wife's details are in the post above. She may be interested perhaps you could PM me some details. I cannot PM you as the system does not allow me...

Re: Scooter for kids (not motor)

LA Bike is on the right a couple of hundred meters or so after the Esso station as you go north, before you get to the U-turn at Soi 68. The other bike shop is also on the right just after the Shell station on the left and the PTT station on the right. Thanks again. I went to LA but they had no sco...

Re: Renewing a UK passport from Thailand

I have just read the gov site and it appears the application process has now changed. I will have to weigh up the costs when I do my sons' passports as I have to apply for 2 at the same time. Hopefully, I will be able to do both applications the same day at the same time.

Re: Renewing a UK passport from Thailand

When i did mine I simply posted everything to Hong Kong, and sent a letter requesting a letter from the embassy explaining about the visa until I renewed it. I didn't travel anywhere. Why did you need to go to bangkok? I ask as I would like to renew my sons' passports soon

Re: Scooter for kids (not motor)

It may be worth your while to look at LA Bicycle closer to the center of town, also on the main drag. Ok, that is another option. I couldn't find the one by the king's palace today, but I may not have gone far enough along the road. i will take another journey on the week end. If I start a...

Re: Scooter for kids (not motor)

If you are referring to a regular 2-wheel push scooter, you can get what they call a "micro scooter" at the sports shop in the basement at Market Village, or at Toys R Us upstairs where the same thing will cost a lot more. These are adjustable, so good for all sizes/ages. Thanks....

I don't understand why you want to use a service to do this. I renewed mine 2 years ago and the process was very simple

Scooter for kids (not motor)

My 11 year old has decided he needs a scooter, but we can only find larger sized ones downstairs in market village. Does anybody know anywhere else to buy one?
