Re: Farang Contempt for Thais?
Bite your tongue Norsemam, I am Canadian. Canadians are generally over-polite but this happens in Canada too. Eh? God bless the Canadians. Good people, very close to the North-Europeans way of life AND so much politer than the rest of the world. If it hadn't been for Toronto and the lovely Canadian...

Re: Farang Contempt for Thais?
This must be a case amongst the UK and Thailand.
I guess that the good manners only exists in Scandinavia then.
As oakdale160 is, I believe, an American, they*re not more polite there as well.

Re: ThaiThailand speed limits to be halved?
Last week I was stopped by a High Way Police officer who could speak English. He warned me that driving in 120 km pr hour wasn't in accordance with Thailand's laws, max speed limit on the motorways is 90 km pr hour so I was fined 200 Baht. It seems to me that they do enforce the laws. This happened ...

Re: Yellow book, blue book
And when you finally have received your yellow book and Thai ID card, and then move away from Pratchuap to another province, it's a piece of cake to get a new yellow book and ID card registered in your new province.

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues
Good to read you're safe bak home DM. If there is anything the stubborn bunch of people stranded here can do for you is just to ask. I am one for sure, even if I am moving away from the South to begin a new life in North East in a couple of weeks. You are heartily welcome to Korat if ever in that re...

Yes I completely agree with you and truly don't see any other reason why 'clean' drivers would run away like they do so often.
Falling asleep is one thing, but having an accident when sober, why would you choose to run away?

Re: Thailand floods of 2017
Nakhon Sawan is one of the most *Thai* cities in Thailand. Most things there are done in a natural Thai way. Nothing wrong with that, but why people in this part of Thailand don't want to learn from history is something I'll never be able to understand. These locations are the real floodplains of Th...

This is an action from one of the moderators of this forum and if you don't like it I couldn't care less, but your bloodstained anniversaries dosent belong here in this forum! Have I made myself clear? Jeez, how many Germans, Russians, Brits Venezuelans, and Boers did fall in the former wars? The Br...

Re: ANNIVERSARIES
Good, then do that, This has nothing to do with Hua Hin or Thailand so why cling to some history that means nothing to most civilians.
Certainly not on a forum that mainly is about the Hua Hin area.
