Re: Mothballing a motocycle

Re: Post Coup Flight Deals

Following on from my previous post here I have just booked another week long island holiday in Thailand for when I return and when questioning the rate I was asked where I was booking from, well I live in Thailand but did not say so, I advised I was in Abu Dhabi where I am visiting and I was immedi...

Re: Smuggling Rice to Thailand: Like Coals to Newcastle

Can't blame anyone for not liking Thai rice, in my opinion it is totally tasteless and not a patch on good Indian Basmati rice As I'm sure you're aware, there are many varieties of Thai rice and the best 100% Jasmine rice is fine with. Thai food, but nowhere near as good if you are eating say an In...

Re: Like Somalia - Thailand is a Lawless Country

How can Thailand possibly stop or even limit the sex trade, if this was stopped there would be hundreds of thousands with no income. It is an inherent aspect of life in Asia not only Thailand. Where there is poverty and people who will take advantage of the situation, both bar owners and customers i...

Re: Kuwait Airlines

Kuwait airlines and airport are most definitely dry as is the country, of course there is always the possibility of obtaining a drop but if caught it is a minimum of 30 days lock up, my mate is presently enjoying his stay at the governments pleasure then he will be deported at his cost.

Re: Post Coup Flight Deals

I remember when the Yellow shirts took over the airport, I had book a week on Ko Toa Island at a pretty flash resort once the sh*t hit the fan I received an email from the resort giving me a 40% discount for the entire booking as long as I did not change my booking. On arriving the resort was almost...

Re: Driving Licence MUST be carried at all times ?

I never understand why foreigners (Farangs) either living or visiting Thailand think they do not have to comply with the law. The fact that one had been swimming is irrelevant. I wonder was the op riding with just short on and no helmet just to top it off

Re: Shipped in meals

My beef with SP Restaurant on Phetkasem was that the meal on my table was not as shown in the photo in the menu, they couldn't explain, finally they coughed up that it was pre packaged and if smaller portions were delivered there was nothing they could do.

We have stopped going to SP anywhere
