Re: Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap
The information provided about the new numbers is lacking detail. So really, the increase in numbers could be anything. It could be from those travelling here last weekend, or a cluster based on a 7/11 somewhere, or a series of seemingly unconnected events, with individuals attending hospital becau...

Re: Court allows drugs convicted minister to keep post
Come on. This is very reasonable. The government really needs his expertise in the acquisition and distribution of pharmaceuticals.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
In any case the stupidity and need to make simple things complex is sounding. Hua Hin will have multiple vaccination sites and I'm sure other places will be the same. Why not use them?

It says one vaccination centre will be in Bangkok. It doesn't say there will be only one vaccination centre.Big Boy wrote:I'm not sure this clarifies much, except we have to go to Bangkok twice when it suits them.

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Thailand is a wealthy country. It's just that the wealth is spread around a little thinner than in western democracies. I think it's reasonable that the government should make efforts to protect those at risk whether citizens or not, even if there may be a charge involved. The country is not protect...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Feeling lazy, but has anyone added up what these doses are in total, given the millions supposedly obtained already from Sinovac?

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
So far, the FDA has approved the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, which was made in partnership with Oxford University in the UK and now being produced locally by Siam Bioscience. Quite ironic in that 55,000 brits living here are not eligible for the vaccine. That's the sort of stuff the nationalistic...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
On a brighter note, the hospital have just contacted Mrs BB with an appointment for her first jab - 9th June, so something positive is happening. Very good. Unfortunately she'll still have to be careful to protect you. It would probably be a waste of time but all Thais being vaccinated should ask &...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
There were 40,000 Thai citizens living in the UK and that was 10 years ago so probably double that now. All these were/are being vaccinated in the normal course of events along with the rest of the population. Absolutely no discrimination as it should be. It's also the norm in many other western co...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Does it not make anybody else wonder, why, if they did a mass vaccination in Samut Sakhon, they are still 6th in the 3rd Wave confirmed cases league table? confirmed.png I think it's been said many times that the vaccines don't prevent becoming infected, but do largely prevent serious illness. This...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
Well I won't be encouraging any relatives or friends to come to Thailand until there's some indication that the largest possible number of foreign residents have been vaccinated.
New TAT campaign: Come to Thailand, infect a friend or relative.

Thanks for the info. I entered mine a couple of days ago but as of this morning that website still responded with a bad id message in red.
