Re: Emirates : A warning

We bought Emirates return Manchester Dubai Bangkok last November for travel to Thailand in November and returning to the UK in April. At the end of Feb. we decided to return early to the UK when lockdowns and travel restrictions were starting to take effect. We were unable to contact Emirates to reb...

Re: Returning Expats

Spouses of Thai nationals can return to Thailand, but the requirements and associated paperwork are rather onerous. This from the London Thai embassy. For family members of Thai nationals (spouse/child/parent) While Thailand still puts in place travel restriction, spouse or child or parent of a Thai...

Re: Covid19 - updates on immigration and visa extensions

I am in the same position, and my retirement extension will expire before I will be able to return, and there doesn't seem to be any way of renewing it if you are out of Thailand. Unless Thai Immigration announce that they will renew expired retirement extensions automatically once the holder has re...

Re: Bangkok Bank debit card and purchasing.

https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Cards/Be1st-Smart-Card I've just looked at the Bangkok Bank website, link above, there are 5 different types of Be1st cards, and they all have differing abilities. Re: Bangkok Bank debit card and purchasing.

I have a new Bangkok Bank Be 1st smart debit card, it doesn't have my name on it, but I have signed it on the back, it has the Rabbit logo on, as well as Thai payment networks and Union Pay logos. It has a 6 digit pin, as all new debit cards in Thailand now have. There is no Visa logo. (My Krungsri ...

Re: Coronavirus Precautions - Hua Hin/Thailand

who goes out after 10pm
Government boffins, with the help of Chinese scientists, have been doing extensive research into the behaviour of the virus and have found incontrovertible evidence that the virus is only infectious between the hours of 10pm and 4am.

Re: Covid19 - updates on immigration and visa extensions

They have ฿ signs in their eyes. I am inclined to agree with you. With the almost certain prospect of a huge reduction of foreign tourists and long stay visitors for the foreseeable future, immigration departments up and down the country are facing the nightmare scenario of the shutting down of bot...

Re: China Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Re: China Coronavirus

There have been no incidents outside of China where the disease has been caught from an already infected person. Not so. Germany now has four confirmed cases of the coronavirus sweeping China, health officials said Tuesday, all of them employees at a Bavarian firm recently visited by a Chinese coll...

Re: Lost passport in Soi 112

For me I think that I would be inclined to take it and go and hand it in at the local police station. I think that would probably be the last thing I would do, most likely it would be placed in a drawer, forgotten about and never seen again. The Immigration office might be a better bet although I w...
