Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc

It's interesting what you say about being charged 500฿ for credit advice. I bank with Kasikorn, but from time to time Wise send my money via Bangkok Bank. When that happens I have to go to Bangkok Bank for my credit advice - always free. My understanding from talking with my bank is that credit adv...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc

The statement isn't the problem. Just ask the bank at renewal time. Immigration insist on a Credit Advice, which isn't too much of a problem either. It would help if they could automate the Credit Advice in a similar way. For many years I provided the IO with the official bank statement (provided b...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

You can register at Medpark for Moderna vaccine: https://medparkhospital.com/en/page/moderna-vaccine-booking?utm_medium=Message&utm_source=Line But you have to pay 3300 Baht now and get the vaccination next year, perhaps only in June. :banghead: Why would you do that if you can get Pfizer or AZ...

Pfizer. Leaving Hua Hin at 7am, driving time to MedPark was 2:40. Return trip was about 30 minutes longer.

Re: Hua Hin Hospital vaccination queue moved yesterday evening! What vaccine though?

I'm in agreement with 404, waiting and hoping that private hospitals more locally will be offering better choices later this year (more likely early next) for those that don't want a 14 hour round trip to Bangkok (or a night there) and then the quarantine on return. Two days ago I registered with M...

Re: Hua Hin Hospital vaccination queue moved yesterday evening! What vaccine though?

We do, and I choose to wait, maybe months! I am always looking for private alternatives when fresh supplies are on order. Wife and I hardly go outdoors anyway. She was dead against SV, I'm dubious, but anyway won't vaccinate without her, maybe silly but there you go. If you register with Med Park h...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

All my hope is now at https://expatvac.consular.go.th/, where I registered and got a confirmation Email. Did anybody get a vaccination date from them? I registered at same site, as did 2 other family members. No word yet on a vaccination date. Earlier news reports about this site indicated notifica...

Re: Wheelchair hire.

I think you can hire from all main hospitals.....or buy from about B 5000 from main Pharmacies ( might be able to claim this back from your insurance) I’m going to need a wheelchair for about 2 months. Does anyone have one I can borrow, rent or buy ? Or, can anyone point me to a business where I ca...

Re: Traveling in Thailand during the time of Covid

Last month we tried to book a hotel less than an hour away from where we live in the neighboring province, Chumphon. They said if we're coming from Prachuap province we could stay but couldn't leave the room. We did not have to stay in the room, only in the resort, and we could walk along the beach...

Re: Guide to moving to Hua Hin

Does such a thing as "A Guide To Moving To Hua Hin" exist. My wife and I (both retired)(Canadian Passports) have visited Thailand about 8 times now, North and South and we are considering looking for a six month a year stay in Hua Hin. We know that rules are changing all the time and ther...

Re: Renewing a US passport.

Thanks Guys!! They said it could be done all by mail, and I have time, so will give it a go This last early December, in preparation for renewing my annual “permission to stay”, based upon my original OA visa, I bought my annual Thai health insurance policy. The policy commenced on my original entr...
