Re: Movies at Hua Hin Cinema
Very sorry guys, Christmas preparations has meant I've taken my eye off the ball  . Well, that and the fact they've changed a movie on a Monday as opposed to a Thursday. Snowpiercer carries on as before. The Hobbit has been replaced by 47 Ronin showing in 3D at 11:00, 13:35, 16:10, 18:45 and 2...

Re: Christmas foods in a foreign country
I'll let you know DB, but it won't be for a couple of days. My son and daughter work on the 25th, so we have our Christmas on the 26th. One of the grand daughters can't get time off school, so Christmas lunch will be in the evening. I've got a fasting blood test on the 27th, so the earliest I'll get...

Re: Christmas foods in a foreign country
I've never found what I consider to be proper cream in Villa Market, but being a lad from Devon, I've probably been spoilt. The cream gifted to me, is meant to be the nearest I'm going to get to (what I, personally consider) real cream.

Re: The bikers thread
I was driving down there last week, and helicopters were using the runway (OK, more control than an aeroplane), but no restrictions for driving.

Yes. it could go airborne. The water board don't want to discuss (no idea what's happened today yet).

No, there's no swimming pool. As I've said, she's tighter than a duck's backside regarding water usage. Shower, toilet, dishes and washing machine I would guess is the limit of water consumption next door. I just spoke to my wife about this and she said it is a case of TIT as the water company offer...

Dan Sing Khorn Border Crossing & Market
We took a trip down to this very cheap market situated on the Thai/Burmese border last week. This was my first time for a couple of years, and I was amazed at how much the area had developed: 20131217_095953.jpg 20131217_100945.jpg 20131217_101027.jpg DSC01100b.JPG DSC01106b.JPG Full report and more...

Querying Utility Bills
My water bill this month has come in at a massive 49 Baht (cheaper than usual - usually just under 100 Baht). My Thai neighbour who is tighter than the proverbial duck's backside when it comes to using water or electricity has been hit with a massive 4,564 Baht water bill. I would guess she uses les...
