Re: Campers, Camping and/or a Van?

Are Camper Vans/Campers available for hire in Thailand - would it be safe to? If so, would they just be aimed at the Hi-So's at extortionate prices? As with many things in Thailand, utterly ridiculous pricing. Way more expensive in this country (which is not geared up for it yet and has diabolical ...

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

I don't think Netflix 3bp is a faithful adaptation. I've seen a few discussions on yt where they say that characterisations are merged (ie one character may represent 2 or 3 from the books) and some characters appear earlier than you would expect from the book sequence, and so on.

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

The final trailer for 3 body is out on yt now.

Another new sf series from prime is also trailed on yt - Fallout. After the war stuff, starts in April. Doesn't look too depressing.

Also, Monsieur Spade. Apparently Sam Spade didn't just disappear, he retired to France. Clive Owen as Spade.

Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

Definitely waiting for this one, I read the Liu Cixin Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy last year (very heavy on the astrophysics so right up my wormhole), will be interesting how much science they keep in the TV adaptation. I enjoy my sci-fi but I get scared off if there's too much sci and not e...

Re: Selfie obsession in Thailand a cause for concern

Apparently TikTok 'çontent creators' get monetary returns for making such idiotic stuff. Kinda related to selfie obsessions. It looks like the Thai censorship machine wants to crack down on them ... Rules needed 'to rein in influencers' The government should rein in social media influencers to prev...

Re: After Hours Clinic, Hua Hin Hospital

@Big Boy ... So, just to clear up any confusion, is the after hours clinic on the ground floor of the main building?

Both clinics appear to be after hours.

Re: Internet providers in Thap Tai

I’ve been with TOT (I think they’ve actually changed their name) for a good number of years. Although I’ve had a few issues with speed off and on, whenever I’ve needed a fault investigated, it’s nearly always been done the same day - either remotely or by an engineer visit and since recently moving...

Re: After Hours Clinic, Hua Hin Hospital

These are the details posted on the HHH FB page for the Special Medical Clinic. Is it the same clinic? Anyway, the graphic is in both Thai and English so no need for translation. Except maybe to say that the first entry in the table should be General Medical. Hope everything is more or less legible....

Re: Thai Driver Reaction to Blues & Twos

Ambulances have dashcams and those drivers that don't at least make an effort to get out of the way tend to find their vehicles featuring in Facebook videos and the tv news. Much more effective than a police report, it seems.

Re: Different Fuel Grades - How to Choose

Bangchak have always been around though may be not so present in petchaburi and prachuabkhirikhan. I've often stopped at the bangchak station in samut sogkhram on the rama 2 road in the salt farms area. They own the huge refinery in Bangchak, Bangkok. Hence the name. Along with the Esso takeover the...

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand

Just been to market village. The ground floor car park has a row of rubbish bins one of which is red topped and is marked for dangerous rubbish. It's next to the mall entrance nearest Lotus's. I dumped my batteries in that. In fact, the tesaban has red bins around town which are ostensibly for dange...
