New work-around discovered when problems arise. We've had many problems since I opened this thread, mainly associated with what they call "Dynamic Updates" which will appear from time to time on your screen and are meant I guess to feed new programming in a computer sense to your control b...

Re: Safety on Hua Hin Roads
Yes, good advice to turn around and hightail it out of there. You and your friend were lucky that they didn't pull a gun, knife or machete when you both started to fight back. In my mind there is always the question if events like this are really attempted robbery, or a case of Farang bashing. There...

Re: working in thailand
I have never understood why the Thai govt is so lenient with hoards of Indians working here - they are the ones sending money out, at least the working falang spends it all in Thailand. I haven't researched but I think the India relationship goes back a very long way. There are many Indians who are...

Re: Speedy recovery Big Boy from your op
Thanks for the info BB. The only downside I see is that as you have to increase the quantity of meals to keep up your strength (I think you mentioned this before) and spend 45 minutes per meal, you may be looking at spending 4.5 hours per waking day eating if 6 meals. However, with such small quanti...

Re: Speedy recovery Big Boy from your op
BB, Just out of curiosity what was that amount (weight) of food that you're now allowed in one sitting? And....how does that relate to a portion, say is it equal to one medium sandwich and one beer etc.? Have they given you a list of what food combinations equal your allowed per meal intake? I ask a...

Re: Anyone here interested in helping save endangered specie
This WFFT doesn't ring a bell with me but I do remember a decade or more ago a man in the Hua Hin area who started saving and rehabilitating Gibbon monkeys down there. There was a lot in the news at the time about him and his efforts. I guess Mr. Wiek could be that man. Pete

Re: Anyone here interested in helping save endangered specie
Are you sure it's not the same person on a recruiting spree? That was the first thing that crossed my mind. Looking at the OP though he seems like a lone wolf so to speak. The WFFT website I just posted via edit seems to indicate they're a pretty sophisticated bunch. They are actively looking for v...
