A rather belated response to Bill's post, but hopefully of some use. Having just returned from Hua Hin, I must say that in Asia - outside of Singapore - it would be hard to find a place that felt safer. I was with my wife and we never even spotted any trouble - of course we could be wrong. With rega...

Flamingo Bar and Richard
Well - we are back in UK. Thanks to the guys on the board for your help in finding Richard - we had one or two drinks, as you can imagine. Alan in the Flamingo made us at home. The girls in the bar were great (have to be careful of how I say this!) and made us both welcome as a friend of Richard's. ...

Hi prcscct,
I'm not a local but will be visiting HH shortly.
The attached article (url) made me think.

Perhaps one of the board moderators could elaborate.

Bubble making
Buksida,
If you are into 'bubble making' check out this site. Find the 'Under Construction' stuff and look how well I taught him back in the 60s - catch em young!

Thanks Buksida, Bamboo Grove & Lev for all your efforts here.
Please note that some stuff, from earlier posts, has now been edited at my request. Further communication will be by PM.
Thanks (Looks as though this could cost some beer!) and regards

Richard
Thanks,
That's great.
Janet & I will be at the Anantara from 28th to the Saturday before Songkran. I would very much like to meet up with Richard (and buy you a beer too, if you are up for it!).
Will send you a PM with further details.
Many Thanks
Peter

Hi, Will be travelling to LOS next Tuesday and staying in BKK until Sunday 28th when my wife and I will come down to the Anantara in Hua Hin for a couple of weeks. 8) I used to work with Richard many moons ago and I have just heard that he was / is living in Hua Hin. If anyone knows of his w...

Check out the web deals for Eva Airways (and flight reviews http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/seats.htm )
Best Prices (especially if you want premium economy ) I could find from LHR and AMS.
Its a long trip and a bit extra legroom may be worth it.

Advice Please
Here I go - trying to answer my own query! - Sad or what? If anyone agrees or disagrees with the summary below, quoted from another site in response to a query on the Anantara, please post a message. The Anantara is the most 'northerley' of Hua Hin resorts, up near the airport ( don't worry, no airc...

ANANTARA . WHAT DO YOU THINK OF IT?
Hi Lev / Betts / All Following on (belatedly) from the earlier posts, I would love to know if Betts stayed at the Anantara and get a first hand opinion. My wife and I are due to spend a few days in BKK at the end of March and then come down to Hua Hin on 28th for a couple of weeks, staying at the An...
