Re: US to help Thailand develop small nuclear reactors

Thailand can't even properly maintain the low radiation equipment they already have to process gemstones pushing maintenance aside for years until everything fails. A friend of mine here installed and had to reconstruct that equipment when it failed (due to lack of maintenance). Sadly, that friend h...

Re: Posting small parcel to usa

Your most cost-effective option is EMS via Post Office. I haven't had any problems with them recently after a disastrous run during the peak of Covid. They seem to have gotten their act together now.

Re: Customs clearance red channel at Suvarnabhumi

I came in from US Saturday, Sept 17 and NO problems. Breezed right past the scanners as there was nobody manning them at 11pm when I arrived. Surprised no asking about vaccination but just breezed through Priority Immigration (I'm 81). Slick.

Re: Travel to Koh Samui

Hard to me to read of your experiences at this touristy resort Island. Save the ferry trip and continue on east past the ferries to Khanom where real Thailand is available to you. Water at the multitude of beaches may not be pristine but there is certainly no congestion on any of them. A real Thai e...

Try looking at the site of "Swimming Pools Thailand" which is an online Swimming Pool equipment site. https://swimmingpoolsthailand.com/en/
I've purchases my Pool Robot from them and other things.

Re: Travel to Koh Samui

I live in Khanom (only 20 minutes from ferry Terminals in Don Sok) and have gone over to Koh Samui several times. Raja Ferries are "rust buckets" but cheap. When I went via Sea Train Ferry I was blown away by the extreme difference in boarding terminal (almost like an airport) and the newn...

Re: Retirement visa income + cash in bank

I used to use cash in the bank for renewal but always tried to maintain the 65,000 monthly deposit into account too. Now I don't care about either as I use a broker to renew my visa. Saves on the 4 hour RT to immigration where I live and takes only part of the paperwork. Much less to accumulate and ...

Re: Flexible PVC Pipe (solvent weld)

Look for flexible sink drain hoses in that department. Their gray and you may have to cobble a few together to get the length but might solve the problem.

Re: Buying online from Lazada

I'm even having more fun with LAZADA as I have used a Cc for all my purchases until two months ago when they suddenly stopped approving my CC. CC company can see no activity and Lazada claims it is a problem and they were trying to solve it. Now they're asking me for all kinds of private information...

Re: Thai Navy to buy Chinese submarines

Larger ships are usually built around the engine. Will be interesting to see how they get around this requirement and how it is hidden from view. Take delivery of an engineless submarine shell?

After all submarines are a vital link to the defense of Thailand.

Re: Immigration to introduce 90 day reporting online

Lucky for your guys in Hua Hin. Still won't work for me down here in Nakhon Si Thammaraqt where Immigration is and hour and a half away. Paying a broker 500 thb to do it is cheaper than the gas to go there.

Re: Journey to retirement visa

You want an "O" visa NOT an "O - A" visa. OA visa has medical ins. requirement whereas O does not. I'm sure I'm missing something here too but am sure others will fill in the missing items.
