Re: At what temperature do you run your Aircon?

First few days at around 21 in the evening for a bit to cool down in the bedroom and by the end of the trip about 23 again for the first bit of the night. If we get a good thunderstorm in the evening then I don`t even bother.

Re: No milk in shops?

@ Sateeb and Pete, Right on the money, it was Chokchai that I was trying to remember. I'd never noticed much difference between milk in Thailand until that student brought me Chokchai farm milk. Creamier with more flavour, I found. Why would anyone want milk that wasn't full milk? Since when did mi...

Re: Secrets- Soi 80

^ Is Secrets open at lunch time? Reading the above posts made me hungry... but I can't go there after dark... because of the long haired vampires...   O.K as you were rather vague I will ask. Is the long hair from these so called vampires growing from head, armpit, nose, ear or f...

Re: No milk in shops?

I myself really dislike the taste of milk in Thailand. Not sure why maybe I am spoiled by the free ranging organically fed raised by nuns then milked by 20 year male and female old virgins with silk gloves on their hands. Anyways I really find it uckie.

Re: Hua Hin Hospital Express Service - Highly Recommended

I don't think Bangkok Hospital or Synphaet Hospital are government hospitals. As I understand it, the 30 baht scheme (championed by Thaksin) is only applicable in government hospitals. Before my kids were re-registered in Hua Hin, they were registered in Nongkaam. If they fell ill in Hua Hin, then ...

Re: Hua Hin Hospital Express Service - Highly Recommended

I have been to Bangkok hospital Synphaet Hospital a few times..Bangkok revenge(700 baht doctor and meds) and such and for the most part as soon as they see me(Tourist/farang) I was offered an escort who spoke English and helped me with the process. I always thought it was due to the fact I was not p...

Re: Visa run crackdown; 3 strikes and you are out

I do a bit of Film work on the side(extra work/Background when I am in country) in Thailand and I have noticed a huge influx of Russian Models/actors/and makeup people looking for work in Bangkok and wonder about how they do it with out permits or a proper visa. I guess their time is coming.

Re: Can You Notice The Difference in Different Bottled Water

I would like to say water is water but I do prefer certain brands in Thailand for what I consider better cleaner taste. I think the real kicker is let any of the brands of Thai water get warm and taste. So far uck is my general comment on any when warm.

Re: child traveling

Long flight for an "UM" Its not the flight its the logistics at the departure and arrival airports really.Escort to gate and hand off to flight crew and from arrival gate to the customs clearing and least the mayhem that is swampy(Bangkok Int airport) Maybe a bit much for a 10 year old? . ...

Re: Ladyboys in drugs-bust

Seemingly 4 ladyboys, a Mamasan of a small bar & her husband were all arrested in a swoop by police on various bars last night. All accused of selling drugs. (Amazing HH spends a vast amount of Baht on a new court house & this lot have all been detained at Pratchuap..??) The reason they wer...
