Re: Minivan, bus and road accidents

^^ you forgot to mention that the driver on duty did a runner after the accident. Not sure if the police have found him yet but with so many bus drivers running away from the scene of the "accident" there really needs to be an increase in the random checking of hours worked, alcohol and dr...

Re: ANNIVERSARIES

Write them or not, I agree with the following: Henry VI, Part2, Act IV, Scene 2 "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers". :thumb: Gotta agree with that! Whoever wrote it! Maybe not kill them but torture would be acceptable, to me, and of course extraction of the cash that was b...

Re: ANNIVERSARIES

^^ it's certainly questionable as to did he or didn't he write them. As far as I know there is no creditable proof that he didn't. There is however a lot of speculation and theories.

The only fact that I know, (100%) was that Shakespear was my most dreaded lessons in school :D

Re: Immigration letter for buying a car or motorbike

I seem to remember it was the then ruler of Saudi Arabia who was approached by one of his ministers to inform him that foreigners were ignoring the laws of the land and buying land to build their homes. Apparently totally shocked he proclaimed that immediately he would enforce the awe and that any f...

Re: Songkran Vehicle Accidents 2017

I'm sure that there will be a lot of back slapping, within government circles, for a job well done! Far be it for me to pi** on their celebration but the numbers are still horrific and as VS rightly questioned, how many of those injured finally succumbed after they were taken from the scene of the a...

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

Couldn't find taps or dies in homePro but managed to get them from the hardware shop at the end of my soi in Bangkok. Was also surprised to find a scroll saw in another one a hundred meters sown the road.. Too big for my need, though am always on the lookout for hobby size tools.. If you find a ver...

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

However it isn't very efficient if you are looking for specific and maybe items that are unusual. Agree. Try finding dark brown eyelash dye, a rubber 'bumper' for a YotaPhone, or something to make a new thread on the crank of a tandem in Nakhon Pathom. VS ;) I can't say that I have much experience ...

Re: Tourist shamed for refusing to take 'smelly' feet off seat

^^ I had a similar experience on TG with a guy from the ME. The whole cabin filled with the most unpleasant aroma , the moment he removed his shoes. I mildly commented and he ignored my requests to either wash his bl***y feet or put his shoes back on. So the only thing for It was to request an extra...

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

I have to say that I also enjoy wandering around Chinatown, Klong Thom, Yarowrat and Warachak. I have spent many hours just browsing and looking for items that interest me. The interaction is fantastic and very occasionally there is a bargain to be had. However it isn't very efficient if you are loo...

Re: Flashing headlights

Far too long ago, a company that I worked for insisted that anyone who was based on the road took an advanced driving course and test which resulted hopefully in an advanced driving license and reduced insurance costs for them. I took the course and advanced driving test with the London MET. This wa...
