Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

Been a bit of a sell-off since yesterday morning with price plunging on quite a few coins, and yeah, inflation policy could interject soon too. I've caught my waves for today so will just grab a beer now and see what happens for the rest of the weekend... although Sunday can be a good day to pick up...

Re: Thailand plans to decriminalize cannabis

I have a friend who has half a dozen plants. He has permission and has the relevant doctor's prescription. He suffers from cancer which is getting increasingly severe. He doesn't smoke it but chewing the leaves gives him some relief. Well, OK... seems legit. But I think that situation is a world aw...

Re: Thailand plans to decriminalize cannabis

Yeah, this one is complicated and begs the phrase "What could go wrong?" So, it's being decriminalized, but it's not. You can grow it but can't smoke it and if it has a high enough level of THC so that it hits a recreational use level, then your still toast. I'm looking at it as it's somet...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19

I think a double dose plus one booster is enough, as that is what will make travel easier. I will not be taking anymore than that. Ultimately, we all have to take our chances, like with many other stuff, as you can't wrap everyone up in cotton wool... and I'll not be pumping my body full of this stu...

Re: (Don't) Wear a Mask Debate

The locals are going to take some time to break free of the previous few years of brainwashing, regardless of the science... as that's what they are used to. I think we will see many still using masks regardless of whether they are legally ditched or not. Personally, I think it's now done and we sho...

Re: Thailand hikes national park entrance fees, dual pricing remains

I know many countries do this (dual pricing), not just Thailand... but it just sends a very negative message and one most westerners are unused to. OK, if we are talking about discrimination, then Asia is a world leader... they even dislike each other. However, it doesn't make it right. Yes, it's ju...

Re: Documentaries

Been watching this series on YouTube recently, called Biographics and it does a 20 minute analysis of historical figures from birth to death (covers so many from people like Hitler to like the Japanese cult leader that poisoned the subway train) and the presenter is good too. There is also a couple ...

Well, maybe... if the Karma equation is right, which probably is very debatable in many cases.

Re: Things That Wind Me Up Driving In Thailand

Two things, among many, that I'm always annoyed by is that, firstly, motorcycles never look before joining the road (which is odd because they will die, not me)... and secondly, a total lack of depth perception by people in cars/trucks that think they can pull out into the road or across your right-...

Re: Major Economic Issues For Thailand

Subsidies often seem like a panacea for governments in economically problematic situations as a temporary band-aid, so as to appease the masses and take away the "heat"... but it seldom works, unless you get your act together properly and cancel it at some point, and revert back to market ...

Re: Thailand hikes national park entrance fees, dual pricing remains

Typical Thailand, I'm afraid. I can just imagine if the boot was on the other foot and in the UK Thais/foreigners were charged double/triple to go into a stately home or Buckingham palace etc. We would never hear the end of it, especially now... people/politicians would be cancelled and hounded out ...

Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

I do keep tabs on the markets everyday and read the crypto news about what's going on and upcoming events like hardforks etc. or whales pulling out/piling in and watching for the "pump & dump" stuff on random coins, need to be careful. Agree with Ginjaninja about catching small waves o...

Re: The Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency Thread

Yeah man, what you say has good relevance. Although, if it hits that low, then I'll take a chance and buy... just what I can afford to lose though. You know how it is... might work, might be a fail, ha ha. Not an exact science but nothing ventured, then nothing gained. I only invest what I can affor...
