i have had a Kasikorn account for over 7 years now which i opened with just a tourist visa ( to tell you the truth i am not even sure they looked at what visa i had at the time ). i went to the Kasikorn bank a couple of weeks ago to open an account for the wife so she could have the cash requirement...

HHTEL I can assure you I am not making this up nor am I stupid enough to to miss understand what she said as I stood in front of her. She did not even ask for the cash in a whisper and in front of her colleagues.

Yes this was in Hua Hin and no it's not an April fools. What difference will a yellow book make? I have the blue book under my name should that not be enough. I paid the 1000 baht tea money because I thought she could make things difficult if I did not pay.

Had to go to immigration last week to get a letter to buy a car and a bike the female officer said that will be 1000 baht for the letters and 1000 baht for me ! Do you have to go through this corrupt practice every time you want to buy a car. The corruption in this country makes me sick

thanks Lomuamart, trying to get a Non Imm "O" visa is not easy. i was told by the Thai embassy here in Korea, Singapore and Canberra that i would have to get a 60 tourist visa and change that to a "O" visa while in Hua Hin. From the info on the form for the "O" visa is ...
