Re: 24 hour immigration report back requirement?
@Nick, If you are on a retirement visa you MUST do a 90 day report, I can only assume you are not on a retirement visa Yes have a visa based on retirement but always go back to the UK before my 90 days is up and then get another 90 days on my return. Interestingly just been chatting to a friend who...

Re: 24 hour immigration report back requirement?
When I did mine 2 weeks ago. The very friendly guy in immigration said to my wife that she must report me within 24 hours of returning to Thailand (we had been to KL a couple of weeks earlier). He didn't make a big deal of it just said in future she (not me) needed to report anyone staying at her ho...

Re: Cycling around Pranburi
Are we talking here about 'Cycling around Pranburi' or doing a beach-run..?? Sorry Chris , as Jim mentioned earlier a few of us cycle regularly around the Pranburi area, down to the beach at Dolphin bay, Kai Sam roi yot park and Paranburi dam etc etc, rides posted on the Facebook page of Hua H...

Re: Cycling around Pranburi
If anyone can work out the start that would be good? Hi Jim I'm contemplating doing this as the start is not far from me. As you go to Kao Takiab beach you see the green songtaews parked up at the place you can go to either beach or u turn back to Hua Hin. There is a temple on the right hand side, ...

Re: Cycling around Pranburi
Not Pranburi, but I see there's a huge notice outside the Tessebahn talking about organised cycle rides from the Hua Hin Clock Tower every weekend. Is this Hua Hin Roadies Jim, or another organisation? No that's not the Hua Hin roadies BB. I believe that is the Mayors ride which is organised by one...

Re: Greenfield Valley Fishing
I can truthfully swear that it is still there and operating. I went on Friday to see how my friends were enjoying themselves. They are leaving this afternoon but returning again for 4 more days next month. Cheers! Yes went up there and it definitely is open. It appears when you google it you get an...

Re: Greenfield Valley Fishing
If somebody kept putting the phone down on me and repeatedly ignored my e-mail, I'm not sure I'd bother :? Normally I wouldn't but my friend wants to fish there and as I live off Soi 112 it's pretty convenient. Does all seem quite strange I can't find any reviews about the place in the last few mon...

Re: Greenfield Valley Fishing
I have friends there as we speak. He and his lady partner have been there since Wednesday staying in one of the lodges. I have photo's on my FB page of huge monster catfish and other varieties. I have no idea of costings but it would need to be reasonable for my friend to book it. He has also booke...

Re: Greenfield Valley Fishing
Anyone know if this place is still open? I have some friends over from the UK and they want to do some fishing, they have booked the Hua Hin fishing lodge with no problems but they also want to fish here but can't get a reply from them.

Re: Hua Hin Christmas dinner 2015
Just ran across this online... never heard of this place and it's a bit expensive but maybe another Christmas dinner choice. [ Mod Edit ] HHF, you know the rules - if bars and restaurants want their menus published they'll need to advertise - only fair on the ones that do. Expensive for such a smal...

Re: Hua Hin to Samui
Yes when I first caught the bus it was from the clock tower but ever since the new office opened (as I almost found at great cost) it has been from the new office, they seem to want to keep this a secret! I last did it 3 months ago and it was from the office I assume this is still the case but apolo...

Re: Hua Hin to Samui
Has it changed then? Every time I have used it this year it's left from the new Lomprayah office on Petkasem road, it also tells you on the confirmation ticket they give you when you book.

Re: Best visa to get
Hi I was in a similar position came over from the UK with my Thai wife, I'm no visa expert but you can't change a tourist visa to a marriage visa in Thailand I don't think. The best way is to get a 90 day non O before you come to Thailand and when you are here in the last 30 days of that visa extend...

The info above is pretty much spot on, other things to note no phones/iPods/MP3's etc allowed. Ladies have to cover legs, men can wear shorts

Re: Retirement visa question
To be fair we got a little bogged down on the need for a re-entry permit they were adamant I needed one and I couldn't see the point as I would have only 15 days left on my ED visa on my return. Probably got a bit confused as well as to how to get a non O my Thai is not that great, think I will appl...
