How much you take notice of him is up to you bearing in mind that he's not a doctor but a retired A & E nurse.

Re: British weather

My mother lives in Yorkshire and is 99 years old. What a great time for a 15 hour power cut which went through the night. She only has electric so spent the time wrapped up in blankets with a small battery lamp.

Well done Yorkshire Electric!

Re: Lotus' Go Hua Na closing down

It's been open for a couple of weeks. Very disappointed with the stock. I've been in 2 or 3 times and left with nothing. I find that the nearby 7/11 is better for my needs.

I'm a cod person. However, my mother worked at Bird's Eye and after seeing the worms and bacteria in cod, she never ate it again.

Re: Electric Vehicles (EV) Thread

Bearing in mind that the UK is planning to ban the sale of new petrol/diesel vehicles in 6 years time, EV's are getting a lot of bad press. Charging an electric car in public is now more expensive than filling up with petrol Full article: https://www.gbnews.com/lifestyle/electric-car-charging-costs-...

Re: Keto diet and low carb eating

It's available on Shopee. However, why not try Erythritol. I've been using it since before covid. Zero calories and looks like and tastes like sugar. I initially lost 26kg on a Keto diet which included Erythritol. I still use it today. Erythritol, a type of carbohydrate called sugar alcohol, is one ...

Some traffic violations carry penalty points on your licence. Is that taken care of too?

Re: Health insurance required for all retirement visas?

I don't have medical insurance. I'm sure I'm not the only one. It would be interesting to do a head count of members without insurance.

Re: Health insurance required for all retirement visas?

That's the way I understand it Gregjam and it's been proven several times. Just in the last few months, a friend of mine went to the London Embassy for retirement. As predicted, he was asked for medical insurance. After he spoke with me I advised him to just get a tourist visa and convert to a non-O...
