Re: Living in Hau Hin

New proposals to deport expats found profiting from bar fines though might free up a few properties before long? This probably warrants a completely separate thread, but tell us more about these proposals please. :offtopic: http://pattaya-times.com/a4833-police-crackdown-on-foreign-operated-...

I love offal but where in the UK can you get it? Anywhere and everywhere, from M&S to any butchers. I really can't compete with some of the knowledge you guys have! Bugs taste like bugs to me and so on, but if the food at hand is immersed in a nice broth, so when at the wifes village I te...

Re: cheap, fun bar sought

I was wondering if there was any decent bars in town that do bottles cheaper than 70bht with young owners and a fun crowd, as opposed to a grumpy/sleazy one. Music and atmosphere would be a nice but unlikely addition. TIA Are you saying that young owners and a fun crowd don''t do sleazy? And said y...

Its not for me I'm afraid and I really don't like the thing you have to use to scroll down the page. The thing about a paper magazine is the ability to 'flip' through it at first glance, on-line, you have to wait for the flipped pages to load. I gave up. But there is little of interest there for me ...

Re: Nightclub

and here you are not paying £500 to a £1000 a week council tax on top of the rent along with other charges that would make you cry. Keep well Chris I'm keeping well, Chris - thanks. But sorry to be a pedant, but Council Tax is only for residential properties. I assume you are referring to non-domes...

Re: Body Scanners

Just read that an equality group is objecting to the introduction of body scanners at UK airports as they will breach the Human Rights Act Any link to this story? If true, I think this group could be breaching my HR to travel as safely as possible! But I agree these things are a health risk. I was ...

I am still waiting for somebody to explain how a guy who has no luggage, pays for a ticket in cash and has no passport and just happens to be carrying a bomb is allowed to board a plane in the first place ? Does it not strike you as a little odd ? If this guy didn't set alarm bells ringing then the...

I've just returned south(ish) after three days in Hua Hin and I thought it as busy as I have ever seen it - mind you, the last time I was there in high season was 10 years ago! Pretty much everywhere we went was busy, even at the top of the Hilton where we ate on our last night. In fact, I began to ...

We got hit by the extra charge, didn't know it was to do with the band, thought it was just added VAT - maybe we got hit for both? I think the VAT/tax should be inclusive.
