Is that a day or night market? I assume you still have to walk through the construction site.

Re: Tough action against Hua Hin beach encroachers/demolition of pier restaurants
I have been wondering if the authorities are leaving it run down and demolished to coerce the remaining owners to move out.
An open beach would be nice, but can money be made from an open beach? We all know that money is at the root of most decisions here.

Re: Tough action against Hua Hin beach encroachers/demolition of pier restaurants
Just the same as Grand Market and Railway road demolitions, piles of bricks, concrete and timber. To me it was like walking around the demolished areas of old Liverpool, except I would never walk around there alone. The movie one up pretty much shows what it is like. The road is also getting full of...

Re: Tough action against Hua Hin beach encroachers/demolition of pier restaurants
Down on the beach road today and it is desolate, not a person around. Not surprising really. I could not walk along the fishing pier, it seems it is not allowed anymore. Many businesses gone and a few knocked down, it looks terrible. I later spoke with a guy I know, he owns an electrical contracting...

Re: Booster Vaccines - Covid 19
I think it is planned to give everybody a booster 6 months after their 2nd. I'm expecting mine in February. The tracking tool is already available. Just start checking here nearer the day http://www.pcko.moph.go.th/booster3.html?fbclid=IwAR3TOnZmJZ9LJaWdVLJDpMSmBMNvo1xU90lGThhPF-ghu2JjPe2dfF6BWzY I...

Re: 90 day reporting
In and out in 3 minutes flat when I did mine, excellent service. I questioned about 24 hour reporting when first returning to Thailand and was advised it is still compulsary following any quarantine you may have done.

Given that there is no great need for the pass, it is no problem to wait. I have the blue one and the download from Mor Prom in the mean time.

Re: Non-Immigrant Visa, OA code (1 year term) holders to require Covid insurance
Why do people get the 0-A visas when the Non-O for retirement purposes is available to those of 50yrs plus. Is it to avoid the large amount of cash that needs to be in the bank. If not then they have the medical insurance also? If you are correct this seems much simpler and more cost effective than...

Re: Non-Immigrant Visa, OA code (1 year term) holders to require Covid insurance
Looks like O-A insurance is going up. This is for the visa, the article doesn't say whether future extensions will also be affected. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/non-immigrant-visa-applicants-required-to-have-3m-health-insurance/ Non-immigrant visa applicants required to have ฿3m health insurance S...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
You're quite right DB. Hopefully that will change. Thailand's AZ vaccine has after all passed all the quality tests in Europe and the US. Pfizer is not made locally so as it's only manufactured in the US, I would guess that it's approved in the UK. Happy to hear great reports from HHH! But what's t...

Re: Vaccines - Covid 19
My first vaccination today at Hua Hin Hospital. My name was on page 20 of 133 so I thought there would be a huge wait but no. I arrived 20 minutes before registration, went through the registration process, then 6th in line for my vaccination and all finished in less than 30 minutes, then a 30 minut...
